How to access and use the thousands of eBooks in CSM Libraries' databases.

ProQuest eBook Collections

Note: some eBooks (and chapters of eBooks) can also be found in other ProQuest databases.

Use keywords to search for a topic. You can also narrow your search results by publication date, subject, author, and language.

Reading Online

Select an eBook from your search results, then click "Read Online".

When viewing the eBook online, you can:

  • Flip through pages
  • Use "Search within book" to find specific words, phrases, etc.
  • Use "Annotations" (star icon) to highlight, bookmark, and make notes (requires a personal ProQuest account)
  • Click on titles in the Table of Contents to move to parts of the book

Downloading & Other Tools

Download Book

Check out the book for up to 21 days and read offline on free third-party software. This requires a personal ProQuest account.

Download PDF Chapter

Download a chapter as a PDF (no return required). After selecting a book from the search results, scroll down to the table of contents to see "Download PDF" buttons next to each chapter.

ProQuest Accounts

Creating a personal account in ProQuest gives you access to additional tools for ProQuest databases including:

  • Downloading full eBooks
  • Annotations (highlight, add bookmarks, and make notes in the eBook)
  • Bookshelf and Folders (save lists of eBooks and see what you currently have checked out, your annotations, and more)
