You will receive an email (with a pickup date/time or mailing date listed) as soon as your request has been processed.

Note: requests are usually processed on a weekly basis, so please request with enough time to receive your materials before you need them.

• Bring your books back to one of our library locations:
  • La Plata: LR Building
  • Leonardtown: Building C, Room 102
  • Prince Frederick: Building A, Room 112
• Return by Mail:
  • Send via USPS using media rates
  • CSM-Library PO Box 910, La Plata, MD 20646
• Email Circulation@csmd.edu to arrange a curbside pickup.

Loan period for CSM books: 4 weeks

• Renew loan to keep books longer.
• All materials must be returned by the end of the semester.

• The due date will be extended for the same amount of time as the original check out period (originally 4 weeks, renew for 4 weeks; originally for 3 days, renew for 3 days).
• Students with materials due at the end of a semester cannot renew past the last day of the semester online, they must renew the materials in person. If you request a renewal that is not possible for any reason, you will be contacted by Library staff.
• Renewals will be updated Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., except when the college is closed. Renewals submitted at any other time will be updated during the next update period.

Renewal Forms will ask for:

• Full Name
• Student ID Number
• Phone Number
• Email
• Title and Barcode for each book/item to be renewed
